Session 2: A Theology of Biblical Interpretation
In Session Two—entitled A Theology of Biblical Interpretation, Pastor Brian Nixon teaches from the book of 3 John 1:1-4 describing the importance of what it means to understand what the Bible says about truth and walking in the truth. Preaching God’s Word reveals and communicates God’s truth as the power of the scriptures mold and helps those who listen. Interpreting the Word of God includes studying the Bible as scriptural truth; and as toil working towards truth, and as testimony as a witness of the truth. As the world changes towards a varied concept of truths, it is imperative that each Christian and preacher know the truth of the Bible and share its loving message.
3 John 1:1-4 (NKJV)
1:1 The Elder, To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth: 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
